Haber-Sen 8th Branch holds general assembly in Adana

The Haber-Sen 8th Branch held its 2nd Ordinary General Assembly in Adana, Turkey. The meeting focused on several critical issues, including the protection of public services, working conditions for PTT (Post and Telegraph Organization) employees, the economic crisis, child labor, gender equality, democracy, and peace.

During the assembly, new organizational bodies and upper council delegates were elected. Branch President Musa Özdemir emphasized that the union serves as the organized strength of PTT, postal, communication, and news workers. He stated that the union's role extends beyond collective bargaining to standing in solidarity against injustice.

Özdemir also addressed broader socio-political concerns, noting that global conflicts and domestic pressure policies are exacerbating hunger, unemployment, poverty, and income inequality. He advocated for peace and brotherhood, opposing the division of peoples based on identity.
