Haßberge district in Germany launches repair and lending directory

The waste‑management authority of Landkreis Haßberge has introduced a new repair and lending directory aimed at reducing waste and promoting sustainability. The directory lists companies, clubs, volunteer organisations and other providers that offer repair services or loan‑and‑rental options for everyday items, giving residents local alternatives to buying new.

Participation is free for providers within the district and the list is continuously updated. It complements existing initiatives such as the used‑furniture market, the "Wühlkisten" collection points, the dish‑mobile and the gift‑and‑swap exchange.
