Habersham County Deputy Arrested for Misusing Flock License‑Plate Camera System

Former Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputy Christian Ryan Brewer was terminated and arrested after a random internal audit revealed he accessed the department’s Flock Safety license‑plate reader database for personal reasons, involving an individual with whom he had a personal relationship. He faces one felony count of violation of oath of office and two misdemeanor counts of misuse of license‑plate data, and the case will be forwarded to the district attorney for possible prosecution.

Sheriff Robin Krockum said the incident breaches public trust and emphasized that the Flock system, which records vehicle plates and characteristics for up to 30 days, remains a valuable tool for locating missing persons and recovering stolen vehicles.
