Habib Al Mulla and Partners expands to Shanghai
Habib Al Mulla and Partners has established a new presence in Shanghai, becoming the first Arab firm to operate in China providing business consulting services. The expansion aims to facilitate trade and investment opportunities between China and the Middle East.
The move aligns with the strengthening UAE–China comprehensive strategic partnership. Non-oil trade between the two nations reached approximately $58 billion in 2018, with projections suggesting it could reach $200 billion by 2030. The firm intends to serve as a bridge for Chinese investors looking toward the Middle East and for UAE businesses managing relationships with Chinese suppliers and partners.
Through its Shanghai office, the firm will connect clients with its existing teams in the UAE, Egypt, Iraq, India, Turkey, and Russia, helping to navigate complex legislative landscapes and cultural business differences.
