Hachenburg music project engages children through School of Rock

In Hachenburg, Germany, a music project founded by Alexander Schäfer and Nikolai Lisac in late 2022 has grown into a successful initiative for local children. The 'School of Rock' aims to encourage children to engage with musical instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and saxophone as an alternative to screen time.

Supported by local school leadership and parents, the group of young musicians has already completed approximately ten live performances. The project is preparing for a milestone performance at the Altstädter Kirmes, where the children will present their first original song, ‘Wenn Kermes is’. The founders emphasize that the goal is not necessarily to create professional rock stars, but to provide children with the fulfilling experience of creating something together as a band.
