Hachenburg revives ‘Witch Hunt’ guided tour

The town of Hachenburg is relaunching its popular guided tour, ‘Hexenjagd in Hachenburg’ (Witch Hunt in Hachenburg), on October 31, 2026. This marks the return of the event after a three-year hiatus.

Led by a night watchman and a castle bailiff, the tour takes participants through the old town's narrow alleys to explore the mysterious history of the legendary witch Walburga. The event is designed for all ages, with tickets available through the local tourist information or online. The tour begins at 6:00 PM at the Löwenbrunnen on the Alten Markt and lasts approximately two hours.
