Hachette Book Group appoints Ann Dye as VP of Business Operations

Hachette Book Group (HBG) has appointed Ann Dye as Vice President of Business Operations, effective September 21, 2026. Reporting to Ed Spade, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Dye will serve as a strategic partner to drive company-wide priorities.

In her new role, Dye will manage the operations agenda, lead strategic initiatives across multiple divisions, and oversee the integration of new clients into HBG sales and distribution services. Her responsibilities include strengthening the company’s cross-functional operating management model and defining workflows between operations, sales, marketing, IT, and publishing divisions.

Dye joins HBG with 20 years of experience in book publishing, including a recent leadership role in Sales Operations at HarperCollins, where she managed catalog modernization and sales support processes.
