Hachijojima tourism features hot spring and bus pass options
Travelers visiting Hachijojima in the Izu Islands can utilize the ‘Buspa’ (BU・S・PA) ticket, which offers two days of unlimited bus rides and access to three local hot spring facilities for 1,000 yen. The ticket is available in both physical and mobile versions.
Key destinations include the Sueyoshi Onsen, known for its views of the Pacific Ocean and potential sightings of humpback whales from November to April, and the Kashitate Mukasato Onsen. The island also features historical sites such as the Osato district, which contains stone walls built by exiles during the Edo period, and the Furusato Village, which preserves traditional houses and storehouses.
