Hackaday community highlights open-source hardware generosity
The Hackaday and open-source hardware communities are characterized by a culture of generosity, where creators frequently share their work with others. This exchange is exemplified by the distribution of Small Attachment Modules (SAOs), which are small, inexpensive, and creative PCB designs that allow hackers to share full-stack production knowledge.
In addition to SAOs, the community benefits from the sharing of specialized development boards, such as clones of the Raspberry Pi Pico created by Hack Club students and various microcontroller boards like the ch32v003fun. Hackaday also utilizes sponsorship from Supercon to produce and distribute custom badges to hundreds of participants annually.
