Hacks TV series to receive Blu-ray box set release this fall
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release the complete five-season run of the HBO comedy series ‘Hacks’ as a Blu-ray box set this fall during the holiday season. The collection will include all 50 episodes along with bonus features such as deleted scenes and bloopers.
The series has achieved significant critical success, winning 12 Emmy Awards and receiving a total of 86 nominations. Its fifth and final season made history with 24 Emmy nominations, including nods for Outstanding Comedy Series and acting roles for Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Paul W. Downs, and Megan Stalter.
HBO currently leads all networks and streamers in Emmy nominations with a total of 123. The network has the opportunity to repeat a rare feat achieved in 2015 by winning the top comedy, drama, and limited series categories in a single year, with ‘Hacks’, ‘The Pitt’, and ‘DTF St. Louis’ as current contenders.
