Turkish Hacıoğlu Holding plans $2 bn West Africa investment by 2029
Hacıoğlu Holding, a Turkish conglomerate active in mining, precious metals, infrastructure, energy and international investment, announced a long‑term programme to invest more than $2 billion in West Africa by 2029. The plan aims to expand new mining sites, increase production capacity, develop precious‑metal processing and refining facilities, and launch energy, water‑infrastructure and logistics projects.
Chairman Yasin Hacıoğlu said the region is central to the group’s strategic vision, emphasizing sustainable resource use and integrated industrial development. Current holdings in West Africa total about $300 million, with monthly gold output around 248 kg.
