Hadera: 17-year-old killed in vehicle collision during confrontation

A 17-year-old boy, Amichai Attia, was killed early Friday morning following a violent confrontation at the Hof Village shopping complex in Hadera. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. during a Selichos event.

Reports indicate a dispute broke out between a group of youths and a commercial vehicle driver. During the altercation, the driver reportedly entered his vehicle and struck Attia while attempting to maneuver. Attia was rushed to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Following the collision, another individual allegedly opened fire at the driver, causing light injuries.

Police have arrested both the driver and the individual suspected of the shooting. While the Samaria Regional Council stated that Attia was not involved in any confrontation, police are investigating the incident as a criminal matter. The Shin Bet has ruled out nationalistic or terrorist motives, and the case has been transferred to the Menashe District Police’s central investigative unit.
