HADO AR sports expands to India, forming first national team

The Japanese AR (Augmented Reality) sports IP, HADO, has officially expanded into India, leading to the formation of the first Indian national team for the HADO WORLD CUP 2026.

Developed by meleap Inc., HADO is a team-based sport where players use AR technology to engage in combat involving energy balls, shields, and physical movement. In India, the sport has been introduced through the gaming brand Xtreme Gaming Tribe (XGT), with facilities currently operating in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Vellore.

Following the establishment of local gaming environments and competitive events like the HADO Premier League, Indian athletes have qualified to compete in the HADO WORLD CUP 2026. The tournament is scheduled to take place on November 21, 2026, in Shanghai, China, as part of the Virtual Sports Festival.
