Hadramaut education official discusses girls' digital empowerment

Hassan Saeed Al-Shanini, Director of the Ministry of Education Office in coastal Hadramaut, met with the leadership of the Yemen Women's Union to discuss enhancing girls' education and expanding opportunities for women in the digital economy and cybersecurity.

During the meeting with Union President Salma Awad Al-Kathiri, officials reviewed programs aimed at supporting female education and reducing female illiteracy, particularly in remote districts. The discussions also highlighted an advocacy campaign designed to empower young women through digital technology and cybersecurity training. This campaign is implemented by Makers of Hope, the Kafa platform, and the Yemen Women's Union, under the supervision of the Young Leaders Foundation, with support from the European Union and in partnership with War Child.

The initiative seeks to provide theoretical and practical courses to help women develop technical skills, enabling them to launch digital projects and improve their living conditions.
