Hadrian raises $40M for AI-driven offensive security platform

Hadrian, a Dutch offensive security startup, has raised $40 million in a new funding round to expand its international operations. The round was co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and Smart Fin, with participation from existing investors including HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital, and Oetker Ventures. This brings the company's total funding to $65 million.

The company is developing an agentic AI platform designed to identify and prioritize exploitable security risks. The technology aims to counter a landscape where attackers increasingly use AI to automate cyberattacks. Hadrian’s platform consists of two primary products: Atlas, which provides 24/7 mapping of an organization's external attack surface to verify exploitable exposures, and Nova, which manages on-demand agentic penetration testing.

By integrating continuous exposure management with automated testing, Hadrian claims its technology can provide ten times greater visibility into critical exposures and reduce resolution times by 80 percent. CEO Rogier Fischer noted that while many organizations still rely on manual penetration testing, AI can be used to mimic hacker attack paths to better defend digital footprints.
