Hadrian defense tech secures $1.37 billion Series D, valuation near $8 billion
Defense technology startup Hadrian announced a $1.37 billion Series D financing that lifts its valuation to roughly $8 billion. Lead investors include WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures and Baillie Gifford, with participation from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Apollo, T. Rowe Price, CapitalG, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Lux Capital and others. The capital will be used to build highly automated factories that mass‑produce components for existing military platforms, a move the company says will accelerate America’s industrial renewal. Hadrian recently opened a $2.4 billion public‑private partnership facility in Alabama to produce submarine parts, its fourth such plant. Founder and CEO Chris Power is slated to discuss the funding on NYSE Live, highlighting the strategic importance of the new factories for U.S. defense and aerospace supply chains.
