Haenam County expands benefits for 2026 Haenam Minam Festival

Haenam County is launching a series of interconnected events to expand the impact of the 2026 Haenam Minam Festival beyond the main venue, aiming to stimulate the local economy and support regional businesses.

Under the theme ‘Eat, Snap, and Get Benefits,’ the county is offering several incentives. From October 23 to November 1, visitors to local restaurants can enter a draw to receive a 30% payback (up to 30,000 KRW) on their meal expenses. Additionally, an SNS event running from October 30 to November 1 will award local specialty ice-roasted sweet potatoes to the first 100 participants who post tourism reviews on Instagram.

The festival will run from October 30 to November 1 at Duryunsan Provincial Park. To maximize synergy, the ‘2026 Haenam Chocolate Festa’ will be held simultaneously at Gunmin Plaza. This event features approximately 18 dessert brands and offers Haenam Love Gift Certificates to shoppers in the downtown area. The county has also implemented a cross-coupon system, allowing visitors to exchange receipts from the Chocolate Festa for Minam Festival coupons and vice versa, encouraging longer stays and broader spending across the region.
