Haenam County hosts diverse festivals and sports events in October

Haenam County is hosting a series of major events throughout October to boost tourism and stimulate the local economy. From October 9 to 11, the 2026 Jeonnam-Gwangju Camping Tourism Expo will take place at the Osiano Tourist Complex. The event features approximately 100 companies and is expected to attract 4,000 camping enthusiasts. To ensure economic benefits reach local businesses, the county has implemented a strategy to connect campers with traditional markets and local food stores through bus tours and shopping programs.

Other notable events include the Sani Garden Festa on October 17–18, featuring a marathon and various community activities. From October 22 to 25, the region will host the LPGA BMW Ladies Championship at the Haenam Pine Beach Golf Links, a major international tournament. The month concludes with the Haenam Minam Festival from October 30 to November 1, which focuses on local culinary specialties and seasonal agricultural products.
