Haenam Minam Festival to feature rice pavilion and chocolate fest

The 2026 Haenam Minam Festival is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 1 at Duryunsan Provincial Park in Samsan-myeon. This year’s autumn festival introduces a new rice-themed pavilion showcasing the history, cultivation, and processed products of Haenam rice, which is one of the nation’s largest rice-producing regions. The pavilion will include live commerce, direct sales, and rice-related culinary experiences.

In addition to the main festival, the ‘2026 Haenam Chocolate Festa’ will be held for the first time at Gunmin Plaza in Haenam-eup. Approximately 18 chocolate and dessert brands will host pop-up stores, alongside activities such as making chocolate with local agricultural products.

To support local commerce, various promotional events are being organized, including gift certificate rewards for purchases in the old downtown area and discount events for local restaurants. The festival will also feature musical performances, including a trot show and a romantic concert, alongside displays of approximately 28,000 chrysanthemums.
