Hafiz Hamidun marks 25 years in music with new album

Singer and composer Hafiz Hamidun is celebrating 25 years in the music industry with the release of his new album, ‘Salawat The Beloved’. Published by Sony Music Malaysia, the album features contemporary arrangements of salawat and praises for the Prophet Muhammad SAW, marking a return to spiritual music that aligns with his personal values.

During the album's promotion, Hafiz expressed humility after being compared to the late maestro Suhaimi Mohd Zain, also known as Pak Ngah, by singer Noraniza Idris. While Idris praised his work in traditional music, Hafiz stated he felt unworthy of such a comparison, noting that Pak Ngah remains an irreplaceable idol in the genre. Hafiz also confirmed a forthcoming collaboration with Noraniza Idris, noting it is his first time working with her after several years of anticipation.
