Germany weather split as regional cultural events begin

Germany is experiencing varied weather conditions, with a split between a warmer south and a more unsettled north. Meteorologists from the DWD note that while temperatures in the south may reach up to 33 degrees Celsius due to warm air from North Africa, the north will remain cooler with temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees, accompanied by rain and wind. Experts clarify that this does not constitute a new heatwave, as there will not be three consecutive days of 30-degree heat.

In regional news, Thuringia is hosting several cultural events, including baroque concerts in Rudolstadt featuring hornist Stephan Katte and the season opening at Theater Erfurt with Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. In Hagen, pedestrian data shows that Tuesdays have become a significant day for shoppers on Elberfelder Straße, rivaling the traditional ‘small Friday’. Meanwhile, in East Hesse, the Hünfeld region prepares for the ‘Stichtag’ DIY and sewing festival, and Schlitz hosts the Schlitzer Burgenlauf for charity.
