Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional draws ordinary‑car enthusiasts to Grimsthorpe Castle

The Hagerty Festival of the Unexceptional, launched in 2014, celebrates modest, everyday cars that have become rare in good condition. The event is held each summer at Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, and showcases vehicles such as family cars, light utilities and entry‑level compacts rather than supercars.

French participants travelled to the festival in eligible cars, with Suzuki France providing two vehicles and a photographer. One organizer arrived from France in a 2004 Suzuki Swift that had logged 233,000 kilometres, demonstrating the festival’s emphasis on preserving ordinary automobiles.
