Hai Phong advances land clearance for $5.4 billion high-speed railway

Authorities in Hai Phong are advancing land clearance for the $5.4 billion Hanoi - Quang Ninh high-speed railway project. The project, involving investment from VinSpeed, covers several provinces and cities.

In Hai Phong, the land clearance scope for the railway corridor and stations encompasses approximately 212.35 hectares. The city has approved five compensation and resettlement projects covering 33.13 km, with a total investment exceeding 2,561 billion VND.

Local administrative tasks, including cadastral mapping and land recovery notices, are currently underway across various communes and wards. For instance, in Nhi Chieu ward, notices have been issued to 977 households and organizations, with initial compensation plans approved for 195 households totaling over 86.39 billion VND.
