Hai Phong closes Cau Dat Street for war-era bomb disposal
Authorities in Hai Phong have implemented temporary road closures on Cau Dat Street to facilitate the recovery, transport, and detonation of an unexploded bomb left over from the war.
The bomb was located at 96 Cau Dat in Le Chan Ward. To ensure public safety and protect property, the Le Chan Ward People's Committee ordered a traffic ban on the section of Cau Dat Street between the Hai Ba Trung and Nguyen Duc Canh intersections from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM on September 4, 2026.
Le Chan Ward Police are leading efforts to regulate traffic and divert vehicles away from the danger zone to prevent congestion and ensure the safety of residents. Normal traffic flow is expected to resume after 11:00 AM once the disposal mission is completed and safety conditions are met.
