Hai Phong places five key transport projects under special monitoring

Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Chau has ordered that five key transportation projects be placed under special monitoring and supervision. This measure aims to accelerate construction progress and improve the disbursement rate of public investment funds by the end of the year.

The projects facing challenges include the Nguyen Trai bridge and urban renovation project, the Bui Vien - Le Hong Phong and Vo Nguyen Giap - Bui Vien intersections, and segments of the Ring Road 2. Specific obstacles cited include technical infrastructure issues, land clearance difficulties involving hundreds of households, and challenges regarding waste disposal sites.

To ensure progress, the city requires a detailed critical path schedule to be submitted by the end of August. The goal is to achieve technical commissioning for several tunnels and intersections, as well as the full Ring Road 2 route, before the Lunar New Year in 2027.
