Haidilao Vietnam bans outside food to ensure safety
Haidilao Vietnam has announced a new policy stating that the restaurant will no longer accept food brought in by customers. This restriction is intended to ensure food safety and facilitate the management of ingredient quality.
While outside food is prohibited, beverages remain an exception and customers are still permitted to bring their own drinks. To address customers' desires for specific dishes not currently on the menu, the chain has invited patrons to submit suggestions for future menu developments.
This move follows similar historical precedents for the brand. In Taiwan, Haidilao previously experimented with allowing customers to bring their own ingredients in late 2017, but discontinued the practice in early 2018 due to difficulties in controlling food safety standards.
