Hair care trends: Batana oil and top-rated hair oils

Batana oil, an ingredient sourced from palm nuts in the rainforests of Central and South America, is gaining popularity as a solution for dry and damaged hair. Traditionally used by the Miskito people of Honduras, the oil is noted for its ability to provide shine and strength.

In separate consumer testing, Öko-Test evaluated 20 different hair oils to identify effective products for combating dryness and frizz. Out of the tested items, ten received a ‘very good’ rating and three were rated ‘good’. Top-performing products included Weleda Intensive Nourishing Hair Oil, Dr. Hauschka Hair Oil, Logona Repair & Care Hair Oil (Bio-Sea Buckthorn), and Jean & Len Repair & Anti-Frizz Hair Oil.
