Hair care trends: Batana oil and top-rated oils from Öko-Test

Batana oil, an ancient beauty secret sourced from palm nuts in the rainforests of Central and South America, is gaining popularity for its ability to provide high shine and repair dry hair. The oil has long been used by the Miskito people of Honduras to maintain strong, healthy hair.

In a separate evaluation of hair care products, the consumer magazine Öko-Test examined 20 different hair oils to combat dryness caused by winter weather and styling. Out of the tested products, ten received a ‘very good’ rating. Four standout products identified by the test include Weleda Intensive Nourishing Hair Oil, Dr. Hauschka Hair Oil, Logona Repair & Care Hair Oil (Bio-Sea Buckthorn), and Jean & Len Repair & Anti-Frizz Hair Oil.
