While products may temporarily improve appearance, the only definitive solution is cutting the damaged sections to prevent breakage from traveling up the hair shaft. She recommends the ‘dusting’ technique, which involves selectively removing only the damaged tips to preserve overall length.

To achieve hair volume without relying solely on blow-drying, stylist Juan Leal suggests adjusting daily routines. He recommends drying hair in the opposite direction of growth to lift the roots and using a cold air setting at the end of the drying process to set the shape. Additionally, Leal suggests that sleeping with loose braids or a high, relaxed bun can help create natural volume overnight.
