Haircut trends for facial lifting and rejuvenation
Current hairstyling trends are shifting away from rigid, heavy shapes toward architectural cuts designed to enhance facial features and create an optical lifting effect. According to hairstylist Ilaria Picciau, the focus is on weight distribution, light management, and directing the gaze to compensate for changes in facial volume and hair density that occur with age.
Two prominent styles include the long bob with curtain bangs and the bixie cut. The long bob reaches the clavicle with thinned ends and curtain bangs that frame the cheekbones and temples. The bixie is a hybrid of the bob and pixie, featuring a clean nape with concentrated volume at the crown, designed to highlight the face, neck, and eyes.
