Hairdresser assaulted in Turkey following haircut dispute

A hairdresser in the Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey was physically assaulted by a group of women following a dispute over a child's haircut. The salon owner, Duygu Mert, reported that a customer, identified by the initials E.G., was dissatisfied with the haircut provided to her child.

Mert stated that after she offered a refund to resolve the dissatisfaction, the customer initially left but returned with approximately ten female relatives. Mert alleges that the group entered the salon, attacked her, pulled her hair, and threw her to the floor. The salon owner also reported that her daughter was attacked and that shop equipment was damaged during the incident.

Security camera footage captured the altercation. Local police have taken statements from the involved parties and are reviewing the video evidence. Mert has sought medical attention, obtained a medical report documenting her injuries, and filed a formal lawsuit against the attackers.
