Haisco signs $1.5 billion drug licensing deal with US venture Sentivera

Haisco Pharmaceutical Group has entered into an exclusive international licensing agreement with Sentivera, a US-based venture backed by Population Health Partners and ARCH Venture Partners. The deal, valued at over $1.5 billion, grants Sentivera the rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize a preclinical innovative drug globally, excluding Greater China.

The agreement includes an upfront payment and equity consideration totaling $75.89 million, with potential milestone payments for development, regulatory, and commercial achievements reaching up to $1.46 billion. Haisco will also receive tiered royalties on post-launch net sales.

The asset is a core immunology drug designed to inhibit the progression of type 2 inflammatory diseases. It recently received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval in China, and preclinical studies have indicated strong anti-inflammatory activity and a favorable safety profile. Unlike traditional licensing models, this transaction utilizes a ‘Newco partnership structure,’ allowing Haisco to hold equity in Sentivera to ensure deeper strategic alignment and shared growth.
