Haiti advances digital innovation and international diplomatic support
Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is advancing both technological and diplomatic initiatives to stabilize the country. During the 15th anniversary of NATCOM, the government launched a pilot phase for 5G technology in Haiti. This experimental rollout aims to support digital transformation and infrastructure development, with the Prime Minister emphasizing the importance of telecommunications and technological cooperation with partners such as Vietnam.
Simultaneously, Prime Minister Fils-Aimé held strategic meetings with representatives from the European Union, France, Spain, Sweden, and the Organization of American States (OAS). The discussions focused on securing international support for Haiti’s security, stabilization, and upcoming electoral processes. Key topics included operational needs for the Haitian National Police and Armed Forces, as well as technical and logistical assistance to ensure credible and inclusive elections.
