Haiti and Peru play friendly in Miami ahead of 2026 World Cup
Haiti and Peru will meet in a preparatory friendly on Friday, 5 May, at 21:00 Brasília time (17:00 local) at the Nu Stadium in Miami, United States. The match, televised live on SporTV, serves as the final warm‑up for Haiti before the tournament opener against Scotland on 13 June.
Haiti arrives buoyed by a 4‑0 victory over New Zealand, with forward Duckens Nazon and midfielder Jean‑Ricner Bellegarde expected to feature. Goalkeeper Johny Placide, close to 80 caps, will keep watch between the posts.
Peru, coached by Brazilian Mano Menezes, is rebuilding after missing qualification. The side recently lost 2‑0 to Senegal and drew 2‑2 with Honduras. Goalkeeper Pedro Gallese remains a leader, while André Carrillo and Yoshimar Yotún are among the experienced players. Striker Alex Valera sits out with an injury.
