Haiti launches military reform forum and Chadian artist calls for cultural protection

In Haiti, Defense Minister Mario Andrésol has officially opened the National Defense and Security Forum. The event, attended by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils Aimé and international representatives, aims to address the central question: ‘What army for Haiti?’ The forum focuses on the reconstruction and renovation of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAD’H).

In Chad, a graphic designer and filmmaker has issued an open letter to the President and Prime Minister regarding the preservation of national identity. The artist highlights concerns over the loss of traditional culture, the influence of foreign media, and the degradation of archaeological sites, advocating for the use of digital arts and cinema to protect and transmit Chadian heritage.
