Haiti launches water supply infrastructure projects in Nord-Est
The Haitian government has launched construction and rehabilitation projects for drinking water supply systems in Carice and three neighboring localities: Grosse-Roche, Corosse, and Pont-Sable in the Nord-Est department.
Funded by the public treasury through the Public Investment Program (PIP), the initiative includes the installation of photovoltaic solar panels to power pumps and distribution systems. This measure is intended to promote energy autonomy and ensure continuous operation of the water installations.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, alongside officials from the National Directorate for Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) and local authorities.
