Haiti Secures Spot in 2026 World Cup, Joins Group C with Scotland, Morocco and Brazil

Haiti's national football team qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, its first appearance since the 1974 tournament. The Grenadiers advanced through the CONCACAF qualifiers, finishing ahead of regional rivals to earn a berth in North America. Coached by French manager Sébastien Migné, Haiti will compete in Group C against Scotland, Morocco and Brazil.

Midfielder Woodensky Pierre, a 2004‑born talent from the Cité Soleil district of Port‑au‑Prince, will be part of the squad. Pierre plays domestically for Violette Athletic Club and previously developed in the youth system of Ascoli FC Haiti, a club founded in 1998 with ties to Italy’s Ascoli Piceno. The club was created as a social project to provide alternatives to street life for local youngsters.
