Haiti weather: High temperatures and isolated storms forecast

Haiti is experiencing persistent hot weather with temperatures ranging between 33°C and 37°C. The Unité HydroMétéorologique d'Haïti (UHM) reports that while the air mass remains relatively dry, isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon and evening.

Potential storm activity is expected in several sectors, including the West, Grand'Anse, Nippes, Centre, Artibonite, and Northwest departments. Port-au-Prince is also forecasted to see temperatures reaching up to 37°C with cloudy developments and isolated showers.

Due to the ongoing heat, authorities are advising the population to drink water regularly to prevent dehydration, avoid intense physical activity or prolonged sun exposure during peak hours, and wear light, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
