Haitian TPS termination affects thousands of US caregivers

The Trump administration has ended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 300,000 Haitian nationals living and working in the United States. This decision has created significant uncertainty for hundreds of thousands of families.

Among those losing protections are an estimated 13,000 nursing assistants and 8,000 caregivers who provide essential services. The termination of TPS puts these workers at risk of losing work authorization and being separated from their families.
