Haiwaan film receives CBFC certification ahead of September 11 release

The psychological crime-thriller film ‘Haiwaan’, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its theatrical release on September 11, 2026. The CBFC has granted the film a U/A 16+ certificate, indicating that viewers under 16 require parental guidance.

Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by KVN Productions, the film features Akshay Kumar in a villainous role. This marks the first time the two actors have shared the screen since the 2008 film ‘Tashan’. ‘Haiwaan’ is a Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam film ‘Oppam’.

The film has a reported runtime of approximately 164 minutes and 7 seconds, or roughly 2 hours and 44 minutes. The release is expected to face competition at the box office from ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’.
