Hajduk donates medical equipment to KBC Split psychiatry department
HNK Hajduk has donated specialized medical equipment to the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at KBC Split as part of its ‘Budi čovik’ humanitarian campaign. The donation includes a neurofeedback device, a fully equipped occupational therapy room, and funding for staff education on using the new technology.
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive method that monitors brain activity, allowing children to learn to regulate their own brain functions through specific exercises. This equipment aims to support children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including ADHD, by providing accessible therapy within the public health system in Split and Dalmatia.
Club officials, including board member Marinka Akrap, and medical professionals, such as Professor Trpimir Glavina, participated in the presentation. Glavina noted the increasing importance of mental health support for youth in the modern era, while Akrap emphasized the club's responsibility to provide concrete assistance to the community.
