Hajduk Split evaluates buyout options for loan players
Hajduk Split is evaluating several loan players with pre-agreed purchase options following a squad reconstruction. Among the key figures is Marin Šotiček, a 21-year-old Croatian winger on loan from FC Basel. Šotiček has recorded two goals and five assists in ten appearances, prompting discussions regarding his potential for the Croatian national team. Former Hajduk player Luka Vučko praised Šotiček’s profile, noting his speed, power, and defensive work rate.
Hajduk can acquire Šotiček for a fixed fee of 1.8 million euros. Other players with purchase options include Dalisson, who can be signed for 800,000 euros, and Carlos Martin, whose buyout clause is set at 2.5 million euros. Activating all three options would require a total investment of 5.1 million euros. The club is monitoring player performance throughout the season to determine if these acquisitions represent sound financial and sporting investments.
