Hajime Moriyasu discusses Japan football at Shizuoka event
Japan national football team manager Hajime Moriyasu participated in a panel discussion titled ‘After the World Cup’ in Shizuoka City on October 17. The event, organized by the Shizuoka Prefecture Football Association, was attended by approximately 650 to 700 people.
During the discussion, Moriyasu reflected on the team's performance in their match against Brazil, noting that while they maintained an organized defensive block, more individual pressure might have secured a victory. He also expressed gratitude to coaches Nobuhiro Nanami and Toshihiro Saito for developing a playing model that maintains team strength despite player injuries.
When asked about his emotional reaction to the national anthem, Moriyasu stated that he feels a sense of pride and gratitude toward the history created by predecessors. Regarding a question about potentially managing the J1 club Shimizu S-Pulse, Moriyasu responded that he would consider it if an official offer were made.
