Hajj 2026 Ogun State pilgrims Saudi Arabia departure Gateway International Airport 1.7 million pilgrims

More than 1.7 million pilgrims have completed the Hajj 2026 rites in Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom has started the large‑scale departure of worshippers. The first flights left Madinah, with travelers leaving through Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah Islamic Port and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, after participating in educational and cultural activities.

In Nigeria, a delegation of 345 pilgrims from Ogun State landed safely at Gateway International Airport in Ilisan‑Iperu Remo on a direct Flynas A330 flight. The arrival was marked by a reception attended by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s representatives, who praised the smooth journey and urged pilgrims to apply the spiritual lessons of the pilgrimage in daily life.
