Hakim Ziyech involves legal representative in Wydad Casablanca dispute

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has escalated his dispute with Wydad Casablanca by appearing at a training session accompanied by a judicial officer. The move is intended to formally document his training circumstances as tensions rise between the player and club management.

The conflict stems from Ziyech’s refusal to accept a salary reduction for the final year of his contract. Consequently, he was excluded from the team’s pre-season training camp in Agadir and was ordered by club president Ibrahim El Asri to miss a friendly match against Renaissance Zemamra.

While the rest of the squad trained in Agadir, Ziyech has remained in Casablanca following an individual training program. During his recent appearance at the Mohamed Benjelloun complex, he was supervised only by a physical trainer, with no other technical staff present. Ziyech has previously used social media to accuse the club president of spreading false information, and the involvement of a legal representative suggests the possibility of upcoming litigation.
