Hakim Ziyech's future at Wydad AC remains uncertain amid Gulf offers

Negotiations regarding the future of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech and Wydad AC remain unresolved as both parties seek a financial compromise. The club management has proposed a restructured payment plan, suggesting a reduction in his monthly salary in exchange for a signing bonus paid in installments. However, Ziyech has reportedly rejected this proposal, maintaining his stance on the existing contractual terms.

Adding complexity to the situation, Wydad AC has received official offers from clubs in Bahrain and the United Emirates to sign the player. These Gulf-based interests could provide a solution for the club to alleviate the financial burden of Ziyech’s current contract, which includes a monthly salary of approximately 100 million centimes.

Wydad President Ibrahim El Asri has held meetings with the player to discuss either a salary revision or a mutual contract termination. A third meeting is expected in the coming days to determine whether Ziyech will remain with the club under new terms or pursue a professional move to the Bahraini or Emirati leagues.
