Hakkı İşçi expands award-winning honey production to global markets

Hakkı İşçi, a beekeeper from the Alpu district of Eskişehir, Turkey, is expanding his honey production into the global market following significant international recognition. Having started beekeeping as a hobby 12 years ago, İşçi now manages 150 hives in the Ağaçhisar neighborhood.

İşçi utilizes a specialized production method by moving hives to areas with diverse vegetation, resulting in honey with unique colors, tastes, and aromas. This technique has been shown to produce high levels of proline and total antioxidant activity (TA), which he has documented through laboratory analysis.

His products have received multiple prestigious awards across three countries. He won first place in the ‘Pine Honey and Other Secreted Honeys’ category at the 8th International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress. In France, he received the ‘Platinum Award’ at the Paris International Honey Awards. Additionally, his samples earned the ‘Gold Quality’ award in the ‘Multifloral Honey’ category at the London International Honey Awards after undergoing rigorous laboratory testing and jury evaluation.
