Hakuhodo launches AI‑driven Agentic Commerce solution as brands adapt to AI search shift

Hakuhodo announced the rollout of "Agentic Commerce ONE," a suite of solutions that helps companies prepare for a future where AI agents handle product search, comparison and checkout on behalf of consumers. The first offering, an "Agentic Commerce Diagnosis," evaluates a firm's data architecture, brand experience and value‑chain to recommend actions for AI‑compatible operations.

Separate analysis by Hakuhodo’s research labs shows AI‑based search is already reshaping consumer behavior in Japan. Google’s AI Overviews and emerging chat‑based search engines are driving “zero‑click” searches, cutting website click‑through rates by up to 40 % for informational queries, though overall conversion volumes remain largely unchanged. Brands are therefore urged to redesign data models and brand touchpoints to stay visible to AI agents.
