Hakuoh University Ashikaga High School to waive tuition from 2027
Hakuoh University Ashikaga High School in Tochigi Prefecture has announced that actual tuition fees will be waived for students enrolling in the 2027 academic year. This change follows revisions to the national High School Student Schooling Support Fund system, which will remove income limits and increase support amounts to between 396,000 and 457,200 yen annually.
Under this new structure, the school's annual tuition of 456,000 yen will be offset by the government subsidy, resulting in zero actual tuition payments. Additionally, S-class scholarship students in the Special Advanced Course will receive an annual scholarship of 200,000 yen at the end of the school year. Various fee exemptions for entrance and facility costs also apply to specific scholarship categories.
