Halderberge and Roosendaal advance local development and tourism initiatives

The municipality of Halderberge has made several administrative decisions regarding local development and funding. The municipal executive rejected a request from the Stichting Oudenbosch Bruist for an additional 25,000 euro subsidy for its music festival, citing limited resources and the need for balanced treatment of similar events. However, the council will provide an extra 1,000 euro to support the festival's contribution to the vibrancy of the Oudenbosch center.

In a separate move, Halderberge has extended its partnership with Visit Halderberge until December 31, 2027. The foundation will receive a subsidy of 125,000 euro for the years 2026 and 2027 to continue strengthening the region's tourism profile.

Meanwhile, in the municipality of Roosendaal, an intention agreement has been signed with Rialto Vastgoedontwikkeling for the development of the Geerhoek area in Wouw. The project aims to create space for both housing and amenities, including the relocation of a supermarket and the redevelopment of a former primary school site.
